Godwin Udom is an accomplished compliance and risk management professional with over a decade of experience across financial services, capital market regulations, investment banking, private equity, and business process improvement. He brings extensive experience in senior compliance roles, having served as Chief Compliance Officer at Twelvevest Limited, Dane Investments Limited, and Coronation Group (Capital Markets). Prior to joining Blue Marina Asset Management Limited, he successfully developed and implemented compliance strategies, managed regulatory relationships, and mitigated risks. With specialized expertise in Anti-Money Laundering (AML), regulatory compliance, financial crime prevention, and enterprise risk management, Godwin has consistently ensured that organizations adhere to regulatory standards while driving growth and development.
Godwin’s leadership and comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance have enabled him to manage complex regulatory requirements across multiple sectors. His experience spans monitoring compliance with local and international regulations, conducting risk assessments, and developing compliance training programs. He has also played an instrumental role in liaising with regulatory bodies, overseeing financial crime prevention, and ensuring the effective implementation of compliance frameworks.
With an MBA in Finance from Obafemi Awolowo University and specialized certifications in Anti-Corruption and Data Protection, Godwin is a dedicated professional committed to driving compliance excellence in the financial services industry. He is a member of various professional bodies, including the International Compliance Association (ICA) and the Chartered Risk Management Institute of Nigeria (CRMI), Fellow of Compliance Institute Nigeria (FCIN), and Society for Corporate Governance of Nigeria (SCGN).
