As Head, Governance and Compliance at Blue Marina Asset Management Limited, she leads the firm's governance, and regulatory compliance functions, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and the highest standards of corporate governance while supporting the organization's strategic objectives
Throughout her career, Funmilayo has held key roles at leading institutions, including Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers Limited, Asset & Resource Management Holding Company (ARM HoldCo.), Anchoria Securities, and Enyo Retail and Supply Limited. She has also contributed to industry-wide regulatory development as a member of the Rules Development and Review Committee of Compliance Officers of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and played a significant role in representing Nigerian Capital Market Operators during the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) engagements that supported Nigeria’s removal from the grey list in 2025. A Designate Compliance Professional (DCP) of the Compliance Institute of Nigeria and a Sponsored Individual of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), she is recognized for her expertise in compliance, governance, risk management, and regulatory advisory, helping organizations build resilient and sustainable business practices.
